CM Requests Halt to Quetta Local Elections Amid Security and Weather Warnings

The Chief Minister of Balochistan has filed a petition with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) seeking the cancellation of local government elections in Quetta, citing serious concerns over law and order, voter access, and civic safety.

The petition highlights that the current security situation in the city is precarious, affecting normal civic life and making it challenging to conduct a safe and fair electoral process.
