ECP Releases Schedule for Senate Elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially released the schedule for upcoming Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, setting the polling date for July 21.

According to the ECP, elections will be held for 11 Senate seats from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which include:

·       7 General Seats

·       2 Women’s Seats

·       2 Technocrat Seats

The ECP also issued a separate schedule for the vacant seat of Sania Nishtar, who resigned earlier. Polling for that seat is scheduled for July 31.

This move comes as the KP Assembly prepares to vote on its representation in the upper house amid ongoing legal and political disputes regarding reserved seats and Assembly composition.

Further details regarding nomination deadlines, scrutiny, and candidate lists are expected to be released soon through formal ECP notifications.
