Federal Government Targets PTI, Declares It an Instrument of the Enemy

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar delivered a scathing critique of PTI during a gathering on Sunday, claiming that the party's founder, Imran Khan, wanted to drive Pakistan to bankruptcy. Tarar emphasized that PTI's defeat on May 9 was a significant blow, followed by India’s defeat on May 10, suggesting that the PTI was part of a larger effort to weaken Pakistan’s foundations.

"Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, is in jail due to his involvement in the robbery of 190 million pounds. His actions contributed to Pakistan’s current economic struggles," Tarar said, referring to Khan’s legal troubles. He further praised Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Chief of Defence Forces, for playing a key role in stabilizing the nation’s economy. According to Tarar, Pakistan’s enemies are fearful of the leadership of the military.

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal also weighed in, stating that PTI must decide whether it stands with the state or the "controversial leadership" of Imran Khan. He warned that Pakistan could not afford further chaos and instability in the current situation. "The country’s security and economy are at stake," Iqbal added.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister Hanif Abbasi pointed out the tone of Imran Khan’s social media posts, accusing him of waging a campaign against Pakistan’s institutions. "Look at the tweets of PTI's founder. Who is he targeting? His narrative is against Pakistan’s most important institution, the military. He cannot even bear to be in jail, yet continues his anti-state rhetoric," Abbasi said.

Abbasi further condemned Khan’s ongoing campaign against the Pakistan Armed Forces, stating that any Pakistani who supports such a narrative is contributing to the country’s downfall. "This nefarious campaign against the Pakistani military is unbearable for every patriotic Pakistani," he added.

The growing friction between the federal government and PTI, particularly the accusations of foreign interference and destabilization, continues to escalate, reflecting the deepening political divide in the country.
