Israeli forces have wounded more than 200 Palestinians in raids across the Tubas governorate as part of a major offensive in northern occupied West Bank, local and humanitarian sources report.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) confirmed that 78 of those injured required hospital treatment. The operations shifted focus from Tammun and Far’a refugee camp to Tubas city and surrounding villages, including Aqqaba and Tayaseer.
Local authorities reported nearly 200 Palestinians detained over the past four days. Most were released after on-site interrogation, while at least eight were transferred to Israeli military jails. Additional arrests occurred in Qalqilya, Jenin, and Nablus, including two children and a woman among those detained in Qalqilya.
The mayor of Tammun described the raids as the worst in recent years, citing extensive destruction of roads, water networks, and private property, alongside violent assaults on residents. In Jenin refugee camp, Israeli bulldozers are demolishing 23 homes that housed 340 Palestinians, citing military “freedom of movement” as justification. Only 47 displaced residents were allowed to retrieve belongings.
The armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for retaliatory attacks against Israeli soldiers in Jenin and Tubas. Their actions included targeting patrols and military vehicles with explosives.
Since October 2023, Israeli forces have killed at least 1,086 Palestinians, including 223 children, and injured over 10,662. Over 20,500 Palestinians have been detained, with 9,204 currently in Israeli jails, including 3,368 held without charges. Custodial deaths have surged, with 94 documented deaths since the start of the conflict.
Humanitarian organizations continue to warn about the growing scale of destruction, displacement, and civilian suffering as the offensive unfolds in the northern West Bank.
