POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
In a press conference following a Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) meeting in Karachi, Muslim League Functional Chief Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi, also known as Pir Pagara, declared the decision to vacate two Sindh Assembly seats in protest.
Pir Pagara alleged that the seats were meant to be given to the Sindh People's Party, and when he refused to form an alliance with Zardari, he was told that zero would be written in front of GDA and 15 in front of MQM.
Rejecting the election results as anti-state and the work of external influences, Pir Pagara emphasized a lawful protest, vowing not to obstruct ambulances.
GDA leader Safdar Abbasi asserted their commitment to ongoing protests until transparent elections are conducted, declaring their intent to impede the functioning of the next government.
