Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan had other cases including Toshakhana and foreign funding registered against him, he should face the courts.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that action will be taken against the accused named in the cases of vandalism and attacks on security forces in the Federal Judicial Complex (FJC) and the Islamabad High Court.
A high-level joint investigation team (JIT) has been established to look into four cases filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his supporters for allegedly attacking courts and law enforcement, committing vandalism, and obstructing the operation of the court, the Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said.
The JIT is led by Additional Inspector General of Police Special Branch Punjab Zulfiqar Hameed and includes representatives of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Military Intelligence (MI), and DIG Headquarters Islamabad Awais Ahmad, the security czar added.
The interior minister said that the government has decided that while taking action on these cases, miscreants who pelted stones on the security forces who brought weapons, burnt them, all the accused including Imran Khan Niazi deserve to be arrested and they should be tried for terrorism and they reach their end.
Rana Sanaullah said that a JIT has been formed in this regard, which will hear these four cases and complete its investigation within 14 days.
