Media and Democracy in Pakistan- a bipolar world

The latest episode of our show Potpourri where we start off with paying our respects to all our seniors in Media, our journalist are not really journalist right now, but they have turned themselves into politicians, because their personal choices are defining their journalistic ethics. Names like Saleem Safi, Hamid Mir, Ansar Abbasi, to name a few, these were the journalist who have fought for democracy in Pakistan but every since Imran khan was thrown out they have lost their way to journalism and ethics. In this video we explain how when journalism shift its base from constitution and democracy to will of the people, then polarization is bound to happen. Usually everywhere in world politicians are the one who respond to people and their base, but when media starts to do the same thing as politicians. "Sahafat Sahafat nahin rehti" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Potpourri is defined as "a mixture of dried petals and spices placed in a bowl to perfume a room." And we define it as: – a mixture of dry opinions and fact-based analysis, naturally fragrant stories and tales, sensationalized social media issues as sprinkles of oil, and presented by our team to keep the potpourri fresh and alive. Let this year be the year for Pakistan. We hope, we find the direction we need.
