Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan contacted his Pakistani counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, to discuss the recent Pahalgam incident and broader regional developments. Both leaders agreed to maintain close consultations and communication regarding the evolving situation.
During the conversation, Ishaq Dar briefed Prince Faisal on the recent decisions made by Pakistan's National Security Committee (NSC), emphasizing that these decisions were taken in response to India's unilateral actions. He strongly rejected the baseless allegations leveled by India against Pakistan and reiterated Islamabad’s firm resolve to respond decisively to any form of aggression.
A spokesperson from the Foreign Office confirmed that the two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing dialogue and cooperation in view of the rapidly changing regional dynamics.
Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar also held a separate telephonic discussion with Iranian Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araqchi. During the call, Dar conveyed his best wishes for the success of the ongoing Iran-US negotiations, highlighting Pakistan’s support for diplomatic solutions to regional challenges.
The series of high-level communications reflect Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic efforts to strengthen regional partnerships and ensure coordinated responses to emerging challenges.
