POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Eight Pakistanis were killed near the Pak-Iran border in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchistan province. The victims, hailing from Bahawalpur, were allegedly targeted by an anti-Pakistan terrorist organization.
According to initial reports, the victims were Pakistani motor mechanics, who were in the region when the attack occurred. Sources have indicated that the victims were caught in a remote area, and Iranian authorities have yet to comment on the incident.
The Pakistani embassy in Iran has swiftly acted, with officials traveling to the scene to verify the details and identify the bodies. Embassy officials are currently in the process of obtaining further information and coordinating with local authorities. However, due to the remote location of the incident, communication has been difficult, and no official statement has been released by the Iranian authorities yet.
Sources suggest that the killings may have been carried out by an anti-Pakistan militant group operating in the region. The attack has raised concerns about the safety of Pakistani nationals in the area, especially with growing tensions in regions bordering Iran and Pakistan.
As of now, Pakistani officials are focusing on identifying the bodies and gathering all available information regarding the tragic event.
