Dera Ghazi Khan: Four terrorists were killed in a targeted operation carried out by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the border village of Jotar, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to sources, the CTD launched the raid after receiving intelligence about the presence of 15 terrorists in the area. During the operation, an exchange of fire led to the elimination of four militants, while the remaining 11 terrorists managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
Authorities said that weapons and explosives were recovered from the slain terrorists, highlighting the potential threat the group posed to the local population.
A search operation is ongoing in the surrounding areas to track and apprehend the fugitive terrorists. Security forces have warned residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
The CTD’s successful operation reflects continued efforts to counter militant activity in the region and maintain security along vulnerable border areas.
Officials emphasised that intelligence-based operations would continue to neutralise terrorist threats and ensure the safety of civilians in Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding districts.
