Islamabad – Abbas Araghchi held an important meeting with Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, in Islamabad, according to officials.
The discussions focused on strengthening ties between Pakistan and Iran, with both sides reviewing cooperation in security matters and addressing issues of shared interest. The leaders also exchanged views on national security concerns and the changing regional landscape.
Several senior Pakistani officials attended the meeting, including the Director General of ISI and National Security Adviser Asim Malik, as well as Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The Iranian delegation comprised key officials such as Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam, and Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, reflecting the significance of the engagement.
The meeting underscores ongoing diplomatic coordination between the two neighboring countries amid evolving regional developments.
