Afghanistan’s Caretaker Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Muttaqi held a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs to address the rising tensions with Pakistan.
According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussion focused on measures to reduce Pak-Afghan tensions and enhance peace and stability in the region.
The Qatari Minister of State reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to the peaceful resolution of regional and international disputes and expressed support for consolidating lasting peace in South Asia.
The call comes amid heightened military and diplomatic activity along the Pak-Afghan border, following Pakistan’s recent cross-border operations targeting terrorist groups operating from Afghan territory. Qatar’s diplomatic engagement underscores its role as a mediator in regional disputes and its ongoing support for stability in South Asia.
