Aleema Khan: Imran Khan Vented His Anger on Cricket After Pakistan’s Defeat

Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has said that the former prime minister watched Pakistan's match in jail and expressed immense frustration over the national team’s loss.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan stated, "Imran Khan was most angry about cricket today. He vented all his frustration on the game after Pakistan’s defeat and was deeply saddened by the result."

She further revealed that Imran Khan has instructed that only official PTI representatives should speak on his behalf.

Criticizing the current cricket administration, Imran Khan reportedly said, "When recommended individuals are placed in key positions, cricket will be destroyed. Ask Mohsin Naqvi, what experience does he have in cricket?"

Imran Khan’s Health and Rumors

Addressing concerns about Imran Khan’s health, Aleema Khan dismissed rumors that he had fainted in jail. She claimed such news was deliberately spread to divert public attention. "Imran Khan laughed at the reports of him fainting. His health is perfectly fine. He doesn’t even know that Qasim Khan Suri is currently out of the country," she added.

PTI General Secretary Speaks Out

PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja also spoke to the media, stating that Imran Khan was deeply upset about the state of cricket in Pakistan.

"Cricket has been ruined, and it has been handed over to inexperienced individuals," he said, quoting Imran Khan. "The people of Pakistan are emotionally attached to cricket, but in the last few years, the sport has been reduced to a joke."

It is noteworthy that on February 23, India defeated Pakistan in the Champions Trophy match, marking Pakistan's second consecutive loss in the tournament and eliminating them from the event.
