COAS Gen Asim Munir: No Force Can Harm Balochistan or Pakistan

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has sent a strong message of unity, resilience, and pride during his address at the first Overseas Pakistanis Convention, declaring that “even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Balochistan or Pakistan.”

Describing Balochistan as the “crown jewel of our forehead” and integral to the nation’s future, the Army Chief reaffirmed the military’s unwavering commitment to national security and development.

Speaking to a large gathering of overseas Pakistanis, Gen Munir praised their love for the country and their role as global ambassadors of Pakistan. “You are the shining light of Pakistan across the world,” he said. Dispelling concerns about brain drain, he termed it instead a “brain gain,” adding that overseas Pakistanis are living proof of this.

He called upon the diaspora to pass on the true story of Pakistan’s creation and purpose to the next generation. “Do the enemies of Pakistan think a handful of terrorists can decide our fate?” he questioned rhetorically, before adding, “As long as the brave people of this country stand with their armed forces, we can face any difficulty.”

General Munir emphasized Pakistan’s abundant natural resources and urged the nation to be grateful for its blessings. He stated, “Whatever stands in the way of Pakistan’s development, we will remove that obstacle together.”

Addressing overseas Pakistanis directly, he said, “You come from a noble ideology, civilization, and identity. As Muslims and Pakistanis, we don’t bow to adversity — we never have, and we never will.”

He also highlighted the eternal respect and pride the nation holds for its martyrs, calling their sacrifices unforgettable and timeless. “We want to take Pakistan to the heights envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam,” he said. “Walk proudly, for you don’t belong to an ordinary land — you represent a powerful and great country.”

Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering position on regional issues, he reiterated, “Kashmir was, is, and will always be the jugular vein of Pakistan.” He also expressed solidarity with Gaza, saying, “The hearts of Pakistanis beat with the Muslims of Gaza.”

In closing, General Munir declared that Pakistan’s progress is unstoppable: “The question is not when Pakistan will develop, but how fast it will develop.” The event concluded with chants of “Long live Pakistan forever.”
