Farhan & Ayub Shine as Pakistan Clinch T20 Series Against West Indies

Pakistan secured a 13-run victory over the West Indies to win the T20 International series 2-1. The standout performance came from the opening pair of Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub, who stitched together a remarkable 138-run partnership — laying the foundation for Pakistan’s triumph.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Pakistan capitalized on the decision with an explosive start. Farhan smashed 74 off 53 balls, including five sixes and three boundaries, while Ayub held the innings together with a solid 66 from 49 balls, hitting two sixes and four fours.

Although Pakistan lost quick wickets in the death overs, they managed a competitive total of 189 for four. West Indies, chasing 190, started aggressively but were pegged back by timely breakthroughs. Haris Rauf, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Saim Ayub each contributed with crucial dismissals.

Despite a late fightback led by Sherfane Rutherford (51), West Indies fell short, ending at 176. The disciplined bowling attack ensured that there was no last-ball heroics this time.

President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the national team, applauding their teamwork and fighting spirit. “Pakistani players won hearts by playing their best game,” he said. “Hopefully, the national team will continue to achieve successes in the future.”

With this victory, Pakistan not only bounced back from the second-match defeat but also demonstrated resilience and unity, key ingredients as they look ahead to future international contests.
