Governor KP Confirms Receipt of Ali Amin Gandapur’s Resignation

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has officially confirmed the receipt of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation, which was submitted on Friday afternoon through Brigadier (retd) Mosaddeq Abbasi, the CM’s Special Assistant on Anti-Corruption.

According to sources, Abbasi delivered the handwritten resignation to the caretaker of the Governor House at approximately 2:30 PM. The caretaker acknowledged the submission and issued a formal receipt documenting the handover.

Speaking exclusively to Geo News, Governor Kundi stated that the resignation letter, dated October 11, was personally written and signed by Gandapur. “The Chief Minister’s handwritten resignation was received at 2:30 PM today. After reviewing its contents and ensuring all constitutional and legal requirements are met, a formal decision will be made,” he said.

Kundi further clarified that his legal team will carefully examine the document to ensure compliance with constitutional provisions before taking the next step.

Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation letter reportedly states: “I confirm that I have resigned as Chief Minister and have done so out of loyalty.”

This development follows days of speculation about political shifts within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with Gandapur’s resignation marking a significant change in the provincial political landscape.
