Imran Khan’s Sons to Visit Pakistan; PTI Denies Leadership Shift

The sons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Suleman and Qasim, are planning a visit to Pakistan to meet their incarcerated father, party leaders and family members have confirmed.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, along with senior PTI leaders Barrister Ali Zafar and Salman Akram Raja, revealed that legal petitions are being filed in the Islamabad High Court to ensure a smooth and constitutional meeting between the sons and their father.

Aleema Khan emphasized the urgency and legality of the request. “Imran Khan’s sons will come. We are applying to the court so that no one can later claim there was no permission paper. They will stay as long as they wish,” she stated. She insisted it is their constitutional right to meet their father without obstruction.

While the details regarding the arrival and duration of the stay remain confidential due to security and legal considerations, PTI leaders confirmed that all proper channels are being pursued to facilitate this visit in accordance with the law.

Rumors About Leadership Dismissed

Amid growing media speculation about a leadership transition within PTI, Salman Akram Raja categorically denied claims that Shah Mehmood Qureshi is set to lead the party. “This is a baseless assumption. The leader of the party is only Imran Khan,” he asserted.

He further clarified that although Qureshi retains an important position, he is currently entangled in eight to nine pending legal cases and remains in custody. “False news is being spread to create confusion among PTI workers, but let me be clear — Imran Khan is the soul and leader of PTI,” Raja declared.

Trial Transparency Under Fire

Speaking about court proceedings, Barrister Ali Zafar and Salman Akram Raja expressed strong concern over the lack of transparency in ongoing legal trials involving Imran Khan. They stated that despite court orders allowing family and lawyers to attend proceedings, they were denied access even after waiting outside the jail since morning.

“The Islamabad High Court has given clear instructions, but lawyers, media, and even family are being kept out. This secrecy violates not just the law, but democratic norms,” Raja stated.

Ali Zafar questioned the fairness of the trial, stating, “Witnesses are being presented and cross-examination is underway, yet the process is hidden from the public and legal teams — this is both undemocratic and illegal.”

Family Stands Firm

Aleema Khan once again labeled the Toshakhana II case against Imran Khan as illegitimate. “We don’t know what’s happening inside the courtroom, but we stand firm with our brother,” she said. “They can’t scare us. We will support Imran Khan till the very end.”

As the political and legal battle intensifies, PTI leadership has reiterated that Imran Khan remains unchallenged at the helm of the party, and his family continues to stand by him amid increasing pressure.
