Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Salutes Security Forces for Foiling Terrorist Attack

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has lauded the security forces for their swift and decisive action in repelling a terrorist attack, eliminating 10 militants. “I salute the security forces for foiling the attack,” he stated, adding that the nation takes immense pride in their dedication and professionalism.

 

The recent operation comes amid a surge in terrorist activity, with security forces stepping up counter-terrorism efforts. Last week, three terrorists were neutralized in an intelligence-based operation in KP’s Tank district. Additionally, a major attack on the Bannu Cantonment earlier this month was thwarted, where 16 terrorists were eliminated, though the attack resulted in the tragic loss of five soldiers and 13 civilians.

 

A report by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) highlighted an increase in terrorist attacks in February, with 79 incidents leading to significant casualties. However, security forces responded with intensified operations, successfully neutralizing 156 terrorists and arresting 66 others.

 

As Pakistan continues its fight against terrorism, the unwavering resilience and bravery of its security personnel remain the nation’s strongest defense.
