Irfan Siddiqui Slams Multichannel Talks After Barrister Gohar Meets Army Chief

Irfan Siddiqui, spokesperson for the government’s negotiation team, has criticized the approach of using multiple negotiation channels following Barrister Gohar’s meeting with the Army Chief. Siddiqui emphasized that negotiations should not take place through multiple doors simultaneously, calling for a streamlined and focused approach.

In a statement, Irfan Siddiqui acknowledged his awareness of the details discussed between Barrister Gohar and the Army Chief. According to Barrister Gohar, the talks have reached the highest military level, which he described as a positive and satisfactory development.

Barrister Gohar further stated that both the backdoor and front-door negotiation processes would continue. However, Siddiqui argued that such parallel approaches undermine the integrity of the dialogue.

“No More Peeking Through Doors”

Irfan Siddiqui said, “Negotiations are not conducted through two, two, three, three doors simultaneously. There is no point in peeking through small doors, windows, and light bulbs now. If the door that we have been trying for years has opened, then stop trying elsewhere.”

Support from PTI Leadership

The PTI founder and Aleema Khan have expressed their support for Barrister Gohar’s meeting with the Army Chief, signaling confidence in the current negotiation efforts.

The Path Forward

As political tensions remain high, the dialogue process between key stakeholders continues to be a focal point of national attention. Siddiqui’s remarks underscore the importance of unified efforts to resolve political disputes and foster stability.

Observers note that the success of these talks will depend on the willingness of all parties to commit to a singular, transparent negotiation process.
