Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted bail to more than 120 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers who were arrested for participating in the November 26 protests. The court has issued orders for their immediate release upon submission of necessary bonds and affidavits.
Court Proceedings:
The bail applications were heard by a two-member bench consisting of Acting Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif. PTI lawyers Ali Bukhari, Babar Awan, Murtaza Tori, and others represented the detainees.
Court’s Conditions for Bail:
✅ Each detainee must submit an affidavit stating they will not engage in similar activities in the future.
✅ A surety bond of Rs 20,000 must be provided for bail approval.
The decision brings relief to the families of PTI supporters who had been in custody since November 26.
