Renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik arrived in Islamabad on Monday as part of a visit to Pakistan at the invitation of the government. He was warmly welcomed at Islamabad airport by Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Syed Dr. Atta-ul-Rehman and Parliamentary Secretary Shamsher Ali Mazari.
Dr. Naik’s visit is highly anticipated, as he is set to address numerous events across major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The distinguished scholar will also meet with key national figures during his stay.
A few days prior to his arrival, Dr. Zakir Naik had announced his visit through a post on his social media account, where he confirmed that he, along with Sheikh Faruk Naik, would be traveling to Pakistan upon the invitation of the Government of Pakistan.
According to the official schedule released on social media, Dr. Naik will deliver lectures and address public gatherings in Karachi on October 5-6, Lahore on October 12-13, and Islamabad on October 19-20. His talks are expected to cover a variety of topics on Islamic teachings, interfaith dialogue, and contemporary issues faced by Muslims worldwide.
For those unable to attend in person, Dr. Naik’s lectures will be broadcast live on Peace TV, a well-known religious television channel, ensuring his message reaches a wider audience both in Pakistan and globally.
