Karachi Court Grants 2-Day Physical Remand for Salman Farooqi in Youth Violence Case

Karachi City Court has handed over Salman Farooqi, one of the accused, to the police on a 2-day physical remand.

During the hearing, police presented Salman Farooqi and another accused before the court and requested physical custody to facilitate further investigation. The court approved the request, granting a two-day physical remand for Salman Farooqi.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a second accused involved in the incident, who reportedly tortured the youth in front of his sister in Khayaban-e-Ittehad. The arrest came after the police reviewed video footage of the incident, which clearly showed the second accused verbally abusing the victim. This person was apprehended with the help of co-footage.

Notably, the driver and guard of the main accused had already been arrested the previous day, bringing the total number of accused in custody to four.

Police continue their investigation to ensure all individuals involved in the violent incident are held accountable.
