Nawaz Sharif Extends London Stay Due to Health Concerns

Former Prime Minister and President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, has extended his stay in London due to health-related concerns, party sources confirmed on Monday.

Nawaz Sharif had accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on an official visit to Belarus earlier this month. Following that trip, he traveled to London for what was initially planned as a two-week stay.

According to sources close to the PML-N leadership, Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the UK was primarily personal, but his return to Pakistan has now been delayed due to ongoing medical check-ups. “He has rescheduled his return ticket as his doctors have advised continued monitoring,” a source familiar with the matter stated.

The PML-N’s UK chapter has also expressed a desire to organize a workers’ convention in honor of Nawaz Sharif during his extended stay. Discussions for the event are currently underway, and local leaders hope to use the opportunity to galvanize party supporters ahead of the political season in Pakistan.

This development comes at a time when the PML-N is gearing up for future political engagements and navigating both internal and external challenges. Nawaz Sharif’s presence and political messaging remain crucial for party morale and strategic direction.

It is unclear how long Nawaz Sharif will remain in London, but party insiders say that his health is a top priority, and any political engagements will be aligned with medical advice.
