The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has approved two significant solar power projects for Karachi, totaling 270 MW. According to Sindh Energy Ministry Spokesperson Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, a 120 MW solar plant will be developed in Deh Halkani, and a 150 MW plant in Deh Mithagar.
The Sindh government, guided by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s vision, prioritizes affordable electricity. These solar projects are expected to help control Karachi’s persistent load shedding and enhance the city’s energy sustainability.
