Netflix Unveils ‘American Manhunt: Osama Bin Laden’ – A Riveting Docuseries on the 12-Year Pursuit

Netflix is set to release ‘American Manhunt: Osama Bin Laden’, a gripping three-part docuseries that delves into the 12-year pursuit of the world’s most notorious terrorist. The series, premiering on March 10, features firsthand accounts from intelligence officers and military officials who played crucial roles in tracking and eliminating Osama bin Laden.

Inside the Manhunt

Directed by Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan, the documentary offers a real-time perspective on history, bringing viewers inside CIA meeting rooms, military helicopters, and the White House Situation Room as the search unfolded.

The official trailer opens with a chilling recollection of CIA counterterrorism chief Cofer Black, who told then-President George W. Bush after 9/11:

"If you let me do it, I’ll have flies walking on their eyeballs in six weeks."

However, bin Laden evaded capture for over a decade, ultimately being located in Abbottabad, Pakistan, where a U.S. Navy SEAL team executed the daring raid that led to his death in May 2011.

A Personal Look at History

The filmmakers emphasize that the documentary shifts the focus from geopolitics to the people behind the operation.

"This is not just the story of the U.S. and the War on Terror. It’s about the individuals who faced impossible dilemmas to bring justice," said Loushy and Sivan.

The series promises never-before-heard accounts and an immersive experience, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most significant manhunts in modern history.
