Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant Issued for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur

The Anti-Terrorism Court of Islamabad has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur after he failed to appear in court regarding a case registered against him in connection with a protest.

Judge Tahir Abbas Supra issued the warrant against Gandapur when he did not attend the court hearing despite the rejection of his request for exemption from appearance. The court also scheduled another hearing for tomorrow.

The case against Ali Amin Gandapur stems from a protest held in October 2022 against the Election Commission's decision, during which vandalism occurred following the disqualification of the founder of PTI. The case was registered at the I-9 police station.

Gandapur has reportedly not attended court hearings since April 2024, leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant by the Anti-Terrorism Court.
