POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
The Pakistan Movement for the Protection of the Constitution has announced plans to contact leaders of all major political parties regarding the 27th Constitutional Amendment, according to sources.
Senator Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of the opposition alliance, will send letters to key figures including Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, and other party leaders. The initiative aims to unite political forces and encourage discussions on the amendment in line with constitutional stability and democratic principles.
An important meeting has also been scheduled to review the strategy for these consultations, assess potential political reactions, and discuss the amendment’s possible impact on the national political landscape.
Sources indicate that the opposition seeks to foster consensus and ensure that any decisions on the 27th Amendment reflect the broader interests of Pakistan’s democracy and governance framework.
