Pakistan Expresses Willingness to Host Released Palestinian Prisoners: Hamas

The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has claimed that Pakistan has expressed its willingness to host 15 Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli prisons under the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Speaking to Arab media, Hamas spokesman Khaled Qaddoumi stated that some of the released prisoners had already arrived in Egypt.

“In addition to Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Indonesia have also expressed readiness to host the released prisoners,” Qaddoumi said.

He further mentioned that an official confirmation had been received from Pakistan regarding its willingness to host 15 prisoners.

Acknowledgment from Hamas
Qaddoumi expressed gratitude towards Pakistan, saying, “We thank the Pakistani government, the Pakistani people, and the Pakistani establishment for this.” He emphasized that this act symbolized Pakistan's enduring support for Jerusalem and its role as a "big brother" to the Palestinian cause.

No Official Confirmation from Pakistan
As of now, the Pakistani government has not officially confirmed the decision to host the released prisoners.

Regional Dynamics
The release of Palestinian prisoners was a key aspect of the recent ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions in Gaza. Countries across the region, including Egypt and Turkey, have played significant roles in mediation efforts and humanitarian support.
