The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert regarding a strong western weather system that is expected to hit Balochistan from March 2.
According to the PDMA, the weather system is moving towards Balochistan and is likely to enter the province by Saturday, March 2. The western wave is expected to intensify by Sunday afternoon and evening, bringing heavy rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous regions.
Districts at Risk
The following districts are expected to be affected by the upcoming weather system:
- Chaman, Ziarat, Noshki, Mastung, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Chagai, Kharan, Kalat, Sorab, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Harnai, Daki, Musakhel, Zhob, and Sherani.
The PDMA has advised travelers and tourists to avoid unnecessary travel during the period of snowfall, storms, and potential flooding.

The PDMA has also issued the following safety guidelines for citizens:
- Stay indoors during strong winds and storms.
- Avoid unnecessary travel, especially in areas prone to landslides and flooding.
- Follow instructions from local authorities and emergency services.
- Relevant institutions have been instructed to remain on high alert and take necessary precautionary measures.
