POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is ready to resolve controversial political issues through dialogue with the opposition. Speaking to Geo News’ program Capital Talk, Chaudhry emphasized that political differences should be addressed through consultation and discussion.
He said that engaging with the opposition is a key part of the Prime Minister’s policy. “There is no personal enmity with the opposition, only political differences. The issues they discuss can be resolved by sitting together, and we are ready to discuss them,” he added.
Chaudhry noted that the Prime Minister keeps the cabinet informed about such matters, citing a recent meeting with the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He mentioned that the Prime Minister instructed the Finance Minister and Planning Minister to address the legitimate demands of the provincial leadership.
The minister also highlighted that opposition leader meetings are being facilitated, with Rana Sanaullah playing a central role in coordinating the dialogue. “The Prime Minister has decided to personally visit the opposition leader’s chamber to meet him,” Chaudhry said.
The remarks underscore the government’s stated commitment to political dialogue and efforts to reduce tensions between ruling and opposition parties in Pakistan.
