The President of Pakistan has formally approved seven significant legislative bills passed by Parliament, marking their enactment into law.
The approved legislation includes the National Tariff Commission Amendment Bill, Export Development Amendment Bill 2026, Transfer of Railways Amendment Bill, Domestic Violence Bill 2026, Danish School Authority Bill, Income Tax Amendment Bill, and National Commission for Human Rights Bill 2026.
Government officials said the new laws aim to drive economic reforms, enhance export promotion, improve the railway system, strengthen measures against domestic violence, and protect human rights.
The Danish School Authority Bill will focus on promoting quality education and institutional improvements across the country. The Income Tax Amendment Bill seeks to make the tax system more effective, transparent, and fair. Meanwhile, the National Commission for Human Rights Bill will further strengthen the human rights institution and its mandate.
Officials emphasized that these legislative measures are expected to accelerate reforms in multiple sectors, improve governance, and contribute to sustainable development in Pakistan.
