PTI’s Sheikh Waqas Akram Urges National Unity, Condemns Govt’s Fascism Amid India Tensions

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary Information Sheikh Waqas Akram has emphasized the need for true national unity in the country amid the recent escalation of hostilities with India. Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to protect every inch of its territory, even at the cost of sacrificing future generations.

Sheikh Waqas Akram congratulated the nation for decisively defeating India in the recent conflict, expressing gratitude to Allah Almighty for the victory. He stressed that Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are non-negotiable and sacred.

However, the PTI leader sharply criticized the current government for adopting what he described as a fascist approach internally. He called for an end to authoritarianism, demanding that all citizens be treated as equals and that differences of opinion be respected rather than suppressed.

“The government is trying to take credit for successes on the external front, but the way people are treated internally is unacceptable for any civilized society,” Sheikh Waqas Akram said. He highlighted that national unity requires recognizing all classes as equal citizens and fostering a culture of tolerance and democracy.

He also warned that while Pakistan is united in confronting external threats, true strength can only come when the government abandons its authoritarian stance and restores genuine democratic governance. This internal cohesion, he said, is essential not only for repelling external aggression but also for ensuring that the people live with dignity and rights.

Sheikh Waqas Akram’s comments come amid ongoing tensions with India, underscoring PTI’s call for both strong national defense and democratic reforms within Pakistan.
