The Punjab Home Department has taken serious notice of a shooting and violence incident involving a private security guard at the Beijing Underpass in Lahore. Departmental action has been initiated against the security company responsible, and its office has been temporarily sealed.

According to a spokesperson from the Punjab Home Department:
✅ Show-cause notice issued to the private security company.
✅ 30-day deadline for the company to submit a written response.
✅ License cancellation if the response is deemed unsatisfactory.
✅ The company’s Chief Executive has been summoned in person on March 17 for an explanation.
Incident Overview
The shooting and violence occurred at the Beijing Underpass on Canal Road, where security guards assigned to protect foreign guests stopped a citizen’s car and opened fire when he did not give way.
The citizen, Imran, showed remarkable courage by stepping out of his vehicle and overpowering a guard. In response, other security guards attacked him before fleeing. However, the victim blocked their vehicle, preventing their escape.
Police Action
Lahore police swiftly responded, arresting four security guards and seizing their weapons and vehicle. Authorities are now investigating the company’s protocols and possible misconduct.
