A major financial irregularity involving an amount of Rs 3907 million has come to light during the tenure of former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

The CEO District Authority Muzaffargarh approved a budget of Rs 3907 million despite his term having ended long before the budget was approved. According to official reports, the Audit Department has directed action against both the CEO and Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh for their involvement in this irregularity.

Further investigation revealed that the budget for the District Health Authority Muzaffargarh for the year 2021-22 was also deemed illegal. The CEO’s term had officially ended in 2018, but documents show the budget was approved in 2021, a clear violation of protocols and regulations.
