POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will continue to serve in his role until 2029, despite recent rumors suggesting a change in leadership. Speaking at an event in Karachi on Thursday, Shah dismissed the reports as “baseless,” reaffirming his position as Chief Minister.
He also addressed concerns related to energy supply, stating that the provincial government is taking measures to ensure affordable electricity for the people of Sindh. Shah highlighted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment to tackling gas load shedding and disruptions.
Shah emphasized the government's focus on improving Karachi’s infrastructure, including ongoing road development projects.
"The chief minister has instructed to enhance the city's roads, and we are optimistic that a motorway will be built from Karachi to Sukkur, which should be included in the PSDP (Public Sector Development Programme)," he said.
The Sindh government is working to improve living conditions in Karachi, with progress already visible, and further developments are expected in the coming months.
