Sindh to Launch

The Sindhi Language Authority (SLA), in collaboration with the Education Department, has decided to establish "Sindhi Language Learning Centers" in every district of Sindh. This initiative aims to enhance the learning and teaching of the Sindhi language across the province.

The decision was made during a high-level meeting held in Karachi, chaired by Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. The meeting was attended by prominent figures including Dr. Ishaq Sameji, Chairman of the Sindhi Language Authority, Syed Rasool Bakhsh Shah, Director of STADA, and Rafia Mallah, Head of the Directorate of Private Schools.

A key outcome of the meeting is the formation of a high-level committee tasked with overseeing the quality of education in private schools. This committee will evaluate the teaching standards of various subjects, including Sindhi and Urdu, and address issues faced by students and teachers. The committee will also monitor the educational practices within these institutions to ensure adherence to quality standards.

The meeting also highlighted the intention to adopt a model similar to that used for the Urdu language, leveraging institutions experienced in Urdu language education to assist in the standardization and improvement of Sindhi language instruction.

This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing educational infrastructure and quality across Sindh, reinforcing the commitment to fostering a strong linguistic and academic foundation in the region.
