Supreme Court Announces Judges’ Roster for Next Week

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced the judges’ roster for the upcoming week, detailing the composition of various benches and their assigned responsibilities.

Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will head the first bench, joined by Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb. The second bench will include Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Aqeel Abbasi, while the third bench will hear cases with Justice Muneeb Akhtar and Justice Shakeel Ahmed.

Other benches have also been constituted, with Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Irfan Saeed, and Justice Shahzad Ahmed serving in the fifth bench, and Justice Shahid Waheed alongside Justice Musarrat Hilali forming the sixth bench. The seventh bench will be led by Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, who will be joined by Justice Salahuddin Panwar and Justice Aamir Farooq.

Notably, a five-member larger bench headed by Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan has been established specifically to hear cases related to service matters. This bench will include Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui, Justice Salahuddin Panwar, Justice Aamir Farooq, and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.

Furthermore, the eighth bench will be presided over by Justice Hashim Kakar, with Justices Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Ali Baqir Najafi on the panel. The ninth bench will consist of Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel.

The release of the roster comes as the Supreme Court continues to manage a diverse caseload, ensuring judicial efficiency across various legal matters.
