The 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, focused on key security challenges, regional developments, and internal stability.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forum conducted a comprehensive review of both internal and external security environments. The military leadership highlighted that emerging geopolitical developments—particularly tensions in the Middle East—carry serious implications for regional peace and stability.
A major takeaway from the meeting was the emphasis on restraint, responsibility, and respect for sovereignty as essential elements for maintaining regional peace. The top brass also acknowledged Pakistan’s continued role in promoting diplomatic solutions and preventing escalation in the region.
On the security front, the forum reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying counter-terrorism operations, vowing to dismantle terrorist networks and eliminate their support infrastructure across the country. It reviewed progress under ongoing operations and expressed satisfaction with the armed forces’ operational preparedness and combat readiness.
The conference also addressed concerns regarding the Afghan Taliban, accusing them of providing safe havens to militant groups and engaging in disinformation campaigns against Pakistan. The military leadership rejected such allegations and reiterated that Pakistan’s actions are targeted solely at terrorist elements.
Additionally, the forum condemned ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and reaffirmed Pakistan’s diplomatic and moral support for the Kashmiri people.
The meeting concluded with directives to maintain high levels of vigilance, enhance operational readiness, and adopt proactive strategies to counter both conventional and emerging threats.
