US Denies Indian Claim, Affirms Trump’s Role in Indo-Pak Ceasefire

The United States has categorically rejected India's claim that former President Donald Trump played no role in brokering the ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

In a press briefing, US State Department spokesperson Timmy Bruce said,

“Some statements reveal their truth on their own. In the modern era, one does not rely on a single comment to know the truth.”

Bruce emphasized that former President Donald Trump had made the issue very clear, and asserted that the Indo-Pak ceasefire was indeed brokered by the United States.

India has previously downplayed the role of external mediation in its military and diplomatic engagements with Pakistan, insisting on bilateral resolutions. However, this latest statement from Washington directly contradicts New Delhi’s stance.

While addressing the ongoing international focus, Bruce added that the US is currently concentrating on efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza. President Trump, who has returned to office, is reviewing new proposals for a truce between Israel and Hamas as the conflict continues.

This development underscores the complex geopolitical dynamics involving South Asia and the Middle East, and Washington’s active role in mediating high-stakes conflicts.
