At the 5th Pakistan-US Business Conference in Islamabad, US Deputy Ambassador to Pakistan, Natalie Baker, extended full support to Pakistan in overcoming its current economic challenges and implementing necessary reforms to unlock the country’s growth potential.
Addressing the conference, Baker acknowledged the severe economic difficulties Pakistan has faced but emphasized that the country must undergo seemingly difficult but essential economic reforms to navigate these challenges successfully. She assured that the United States is committed to supporting Pakistan throughout this reform process.
Baker highlighted that these reforms, while challenging, are crucial for Pakistan’s long-term economic growth and development. She expressed confidence that by realizing its potential in these areas, Pakistan would not only benefit economically but also have a positive impact on the region and the world. The Deputy Ambassador noted that Pakistan has immense potential to become an economic powerhouse.
In her address, Baker also underscored the importance of increasing bilateral trade and investment between the two countries. She assured that the US missions in Pakistan, including the Embassy in Islamabad and consulates in Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, are dedicated to fostering stronger economic ties and unlocking new economic opportunities for Pakistan.
