35 Terrorists Killed, 12 Soldiers Martyred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations: ISPR

Security forces eliminated 35 terrorists belonging to the Indian-backed outfit “Fitna-ul-Hindustan” during two major operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while 12 soldiers embraced martyrdom in the line of duty, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

According to ISPR, the operations were carried out between September 10 and 13 in Bajaur and Waziristan. Acting on intelligence reports, security forces targeted terrorist hideouts, killing 22 militants in Bajaur in a fierce exchange of fire. Another 13 terrorists were neutralized in Waziristan during a separate operation. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain militants, who were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

ISPR stated that the 12 martyred soldiers laid down their lives while defending the nation in these operations. “The sacrifice of our brave sons will not go in vain. Security forces remain resolute in uprooting terrorism from Pakistan,” the statement said.

The army’s media wing also raised concerns over the continued use of Afghan soil by terrorists. “Intelligence reports confirm the involvement of Afghan citizens in these heinous acts. The use of Afghan territory by Indian-sponsored terrorists against Pakistan remains a cause of serious concern,” ISPR added.

Pakistan has reiterated its expectation that the Afghan interim government will fulfill its responsibility and ensure that its soil is not used for anti-Pakistan activities. Clearance operations are continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorist elements.

The armed forces have reaffirmed their commitment to wipe out terrorism completely and ensure lasting peace in the country.
