Climate
KP Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has warned of a severe heatwave expected from May 8 to May 10 across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and directed all deputy commissioners to immediately implement precautionary measures. Authorities have been told to ensure public awareness, activate emergency response systems, and set up heatstroke centers as temperatures in several plain areas are expected to rise as high as 47°C, posing serious health risks to people, especially children, elderly citizens, and outdoor workers.
