POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, addressed the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court, commenting on ongoing rumors about the former prime minister’s potential release. Since the call for protests, speculation has grown that Imran Khan could be freed on June 5.
Aleema Khan noted that while talks between the government and PTI negotiators often occur, there are demands for the founder to make concessions. “What do the negotiators want the founder to give up?” she questioned, emphasizing that the founder is being pressured to accept the government and apologize for the May 9 events.
She explained that whenever there is a call for protests, rumors of Imran Khan’s release surface. The PTI founder has designated Omar Ayub to take full responsibility for the movement’s progress, with Salman Akram Raja tasked to implement the party’s decisions.
Aleema Khan also drew attention to the upcoming hearing of the Al-Qadir Trust case in the Islamabad High Court, set for tomorrow. She warned that if the case is not heard, it may be delayed until September, adding, “People plan, but no human plan works against Allah’s plan.”
As PTI continues to navigate legal battles and political unrest, the coming days appear pivotal for the party and its supporters.
