Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to depart for Saudi Arabia tomorrow to celebrate Eid and hold important diplomatic meetings, official sources confirmed. He will be accompanied by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s top military commander.
The high-level delegation will also include Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
During the visit, the Pakistani leadership will hold meetings with top Saudi officials to express gratitude for the Kingdom’s strong diplomatic and strategic support during the recent conflict between Pakistan and India.
The visit comes amid growing regional tensions and is expected to further solidify the strong bilateral ties between Islamabad and Riyadh.
Officials said that Eid will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia, and the visit would also include discussions on regional security, economic cooperation, and mutual interests.
