In his final Oval Office address on Wednesday, President Joe Biden delivered a stark warning about the growing concentration of wealth and power in the United States, cautioning that it is forming an oligarchy that poses a direct threat to the country's democracy. With just days remaining in his presidency before he hands over the reins to Donald Trump, Biden reflected on his time in office while expressing concern over the future of American democracy.

Opening his speech with a familiar call for unity, Biden quickly pivoted to a more urgent tone, addressing the dangers posed by an increasingly disproportionate concentration of wealth.
