A devastating bomb blast in the Zehri tehsil of Khuzdar on Thursday has left a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader injured and claimed the lives of his son and a Levies Force official. The incident underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region.

 

According to a senior Levies officer, Khan Muhammad Lotani, the injured PPP leader, was returning home with his son and a security guard when a powerful explosion erupted near their pickup truck. The blast was caused by a magnet bomb that had been attached to the vehicle and detonated remotely.

 

Levies personnel Abdul Hameed and the son of Khan Muhammad were tragically killed on the spot, while the PPP leader sustained serious injuries. Emergency services swiftly transported the bodies and the injured individual to the district hospital in Khuzdar for treatment and further investigation.

 

Authorities have described the incident as a targeted killing, launching an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. As of now, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the bombing, leaving many questions unanswered about the motives behind this violent act.
