CTD Officer Injured in Armed Attack in Khuzdar; Investigation Underway

An officer from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan police was seriously injured in an armed assault by unidentified assailants on Thursday night in Khuzdar. The incident occurred in the Jhalawan Complex area of the town, where two armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on Assistant Sub-Inspector Ibrahim Sheikh, leaving him with multiple bullet wounds.

 

Local police responded quickly to the scene, transporting the injured officer to the district hospital for urgent medical treatment. Authorities have not yet disclosed the extent of the officer’s injuries, but his condition is reported to be critical.

 

The police have initiated an investigation into the attack and are conducting a search operation in the area to trace the assailants. There has been no immediate claim of responsibility, and authorities are exploring various angles to determine the motive behind the attack.
