A tragic accident claimed the life of a Capital Development Authority (CDA) employee within the limits of Khanna police station on Friday, police confirmed.
Eyewitnesses reported that two vehicles, racing each other at high speed, ran over the CDA sweeper, killing him instantly at the scene. Authorities said the vehicles went out of control due to excessive speed.
Police managed to seize one of the vehicles involved in the incident, while the other fled the scene and is being sought. The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the accident and hold the responsible parties accountable.
Authorities have urged motorists to follow traffic rules and avoid reckless driving, warning that racing on public roads can lead to fatal consequences.
