Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) General Secretary Salman Akram Raja announced that the government has agreed to transfer PTI founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital for further medical treatment.
In a video statement from the Parliament House, Salman Akram Raja said that it has been confirmed that Imran Khan’s sons have been informed, and a member of the family will be allowed to meet him during the hospital stay.
He emphasized that the former prime minister has the right to proper medical care and urged that there be no delay in facilitating his treatment.
Government Response
Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar asked the public and media to avoid speculation regarding Imran Khan’s health. He stated that the PTI founder’s ongoing eye treatment will continue under the supervision of ophthalmologists at a specialized medical facility.
Tarar added that a detailed report on Khan’s examinations and treatment will be submitted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The announcements come amid heightened public attention on Imran Khan’s health and ongoing treatment, as his family and party continue to seek assurances for his care.
