Victor Gao, President of the Center for China and Globalization, affirmed China's unwavering commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty if it faces any threats. Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Chinese Broadcasting Corporation, Gao emphasized the ironclad relationship between China and Pakistan, noting that both countries stand by each other, especially in times of adversity.
In the wake of escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, Victor Gao expressed his deep concern about the situation, which he described as a global cause for concern. He called for immediate action to de-escalate the situation, urging both countries to exercise maximum restraint and declare a ceasefire to prevent further conflict.
"The relationship between Pakistan and China is as strong as iron," said Gao, reaffirming China's long-standing support for Pakistan. He emphasized that any threat to Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity would not be tolerated by China.
Victor Gao further urged both countries to avoid further military escalation and prioritize peace in the region. He stressed that an immediate ceasefire is inevitable to prevent further bloodshed and maintain stability in the region.
